The Solution
The aim was not only to create a mobile solution, but also a powerful and intuitive platform that meets the high requirements. Intuitive, fast operation, reliability, data protection and many other features had to meet the quality standards of the Dallmeier security professionals.
UX Field Research
To design truly relevant solutions, we need to understand how people function in their real everyday lives. That’s why we go out into the field – observe, ask, listen. Dallmeier enabled us to visit different locations that use complex camera surveillance systems and are interested in new solutions. This enabled us to discover needs that would have remained invisible in the meeting room. Dallmeier’s extensive experience and the large pool of customer feedback also served as input for the future SeMSy® Mobile Client.
Hybrid operating concept - perfect teamwork
A central control element is the multifunctional track wheel for convenient playback control with just one hand, whose step width and playback speed can be adjusted. Based on the jog dial familiar from the analog sector. This allows precise and fast navigation within video sequences and offers the user a familiar, haptically inspired operating experience that facilitates the transition from classic to digital control.
AI-based event trigger
The SeMSy® Mobile Client receives messages from cameras and recording systems via the Connect Push Service. These are displayed clearly in a list with a preview image. The events can be played back directly and are visible in the timeline along with other messages. Filtering events according to object type, activity and more allows the user a clear display and was an exciting challenge within the project.
PERFECT LINES
Consistent symbolism is created through clear design rules. User feedback helps to avoid misunderstandings and improve comprehensibility. On this basis, we developed an individual, functional visual language with recognition value for the SeMSy® Mobile Client.
