The Partnership for Radio Signal Measurements

SIGNALSHARK

When it comes to quickly detecting and reliably locating hidden, sporadic or short-time interfering signals, there is no product better suited to the task than the SignalShark. This signal analyzer is a true all-rounder, with which high frequency signals can be detected, localized and classified. It allows complex measurement and analysis tasks to be performed safely and in a time-efficient manner and operates on the level of laboratory equipment. The SignalShark is, so to speak, a complete radio signal laboratory in one device. Thanks to its handy format, it is not only suitable for stationary use, but also additional mobile applications.

RADMAN

Caution – increased electromagnetic radiation!
People who work near radio, telecommunication or radar antennas are regularly exposed to strong high-frequency radiation which in turn, can result in damage to their health. The RadMan radiation monitor, which is available in 2LT and 2XT versions, does not protect against radiation, but does however provide a timely warning if permissible levels are exceeded. The handy device can be worn comfortably on the body and alarms optically, acoustically and also vibration if necessary.

THE SOLUTION

The two measuring instruments from Narda are functionally independent, but are members of the same product family. How were we to reconcile this? For the re-design or new development of the devices, we had to develop a comprehensive design approach which, on the one hand, ensured recognition as a Narda product and, on the other hand, emphasised their formal independence. At the same time, a modern look, ergonomic handling and robustness were requirements for the products viability and ability to compete in the modern technological market.
Rounded shapes and a circumferential, rubberised grip surface with ribs deliver a comforting feel. The measuring instruments are designed to feel comfortable and sit easily in the hand, whilst the integrated soft components also serve as shock absorbers and protect the instruments from slight falls, making them suitable for use in harsh environments.
Another ergonomic highlight is the wide hand-opening on the SignalShark. This allows the device to be transported safely despite its relative weight. For optimal handling in outdoor use, a carrying strap is attached to fold-out holding eyes. This allows the device to be carried around comfortably and easily fixed in front of the stomach and an intuitively operated keypad supports fatigue-free work.
